Acteur britannique
Né Christopher Frank Carandini Lee, le 27 Mai 1922 à Londres (Angleterre)
Né d'une mère d'origine italienne et d'un père colonel de l'armée britannique, Christopher Lee poursuit des études à Wellington avant de devenir garçon de bureau à La City. Engagé à la RAF au début de la guerre, il combat en Afrique du Sud. Cousin de Ian Fleming, le créateur de James Bond, intègre ensuite l'Intelligence Service. De retour à la vie civile, Christopher Lee se consacre au théâtre, qu'il ne délaissera jamais, et apparaît au cinéma dans des rôles secondaires, où il débute en 1948 dans L' Etrange rendez-vous.

En 1957, il décroche le rôle de la créature dans Frankenstein s'est échappé de Terence Fisher. A cette occasion, Christopher Lee fait la connaissance de l'acteur Peter Cushing. Les deux comédiens partageront l'affiche de quelque vingt-cinq productions, placés pour la plupart sous le signe de Terence Fisher et de la Hammer Films. Cette compagnie de production britannique, créée en 1934 par William Hammer, initia le renouveau du cinéma fantastique, s'inspirant des monstres célèbres de la Universal (La Momie, Frankenstein, Dracula). Modestes (25 jours de tournage en moyenne, des décors réutilisés d'un film à l'autre), les films Hammer se distinguent des autres productions par leurs qualités plastiques (couleurs flamboyantes, mise en scène inventive) et par leur violence mâtinée d'érotisme.

En 1958, Terence Fisher confie à Lee le rôle de Dracula (Le Cauchemar de Dracula), une composition qui le rend mondialement célèbre. Sensuel et séducteur, son Dracula contraste avec les compositions à la limite de la caricature de Bela Lugosi ou de Lon Chaney Jr. Christopher Lee incarne à onze reprises le rôle du Comte des Carpates, dont deux fois sous la direction de Fisher (Dracula, Prince des Tenebres). Face à lui, Peter Cushing interprète le Dr. Van Helsing. En 1959, Terence Fisher lui confie le rôle de La Momie dans La Malediction des pharaons. La même année, il fait appel à lui pour Le Chien des Baskerville pour le retrouver en 1962 dans le rôle de Sherlock Holmes (Sherlock Holmes et le collier de la mort). Au total, Fisher dirige 12 fois Lee.

Habitué aux rôles machiavéliques (Lee est un parfait Fu Manchu à cinq reprises et un excellent Scaramanga dans L' Homme au pistolet d'or), le comédien ne dédaigne pas pour autant la comédie. Invité à plusieurs reprises au Saturday Night Live, il est irrésistible en Sherlock Holmes pitoyable et incompétent, parodiant l'un des rôles qui fit sa gloire à la télévision comme au cinéma. Il promène également sa haute stature dans Dracula père et fils, loufoquerie autour du mythe signée Edouard Molinaro en 1976.

Après les deux décennies difficiles (1980 et 1990), où il alterne le pire et le meilleur, émaillées du Le Retour des mousquetaires de Richard Lester en 1989 (où il reprend le rôle de Rochefort qu'il incarnait 16 ans plus tôt dans Les Trois Mousquetaires), Christopher Lee suscite l'admiration et la curiosité d'une nouvelle génération de cinéastes. Ainsi, Steven Spielberg l'engage pour endosser l'habit d'un officiel nazi dans 1941 (1979), Tim Burton pour incarner un terrible juge dans Sleepy Hollow, la légende du cavalier sans tête (1999).

En 2001, il figure au générique de Star wars : épisode II - Attack of the clones de George Lucas. Le Néo-Zélandais Peter Jackson convoque la légende pour camper Saruman Le Blanc dans la trilogie adapté de Tolkien, Le Seigneur des anneaux, la communauté de l'anneau.

Biographie

Il a tenu son premier rôle au cinéma en 1986 dans le film de Scott Hicks Call Me Mr. Brown, puis a joué dans The Dreaming de Mario Andreacchio, A Sting In The Tail d'Eugene Schlusser et The Nostradamus Kid de Bob Ellis, avec Noah Taylor, Miranda Otto et Arthur Dignam.
Il a été par la suite l'interprète de Cercle Intime de Samantha Lang, avec Susie Porter et Kelly McGillis, et Fracture de Larry Parr.
Originaire de Port Pirie, en Australie, John Noble s'est produit avec les plus prestigieuses compagnies théâtrales de son pays et a mis en scène au cours de sa carrière plus de 80 pièces de théâtre, dont «Sons of Cain» dans le West End londonien en 1986, «Percy and Rose», qui a connu un énorme succès au Festival des Arts d'Adelaide 1982, et quatre pièces majeures pour le Festival de 1984 dont «Masterclass». Il a été directeur artistique de la Stage Company of South Australia de 1977 à 1987, participant activement à l'explosion culturelle australienne des années 70 et 80. Il a été président du premier Australian Drama Festival d'Adelaide en 1982, et membre fondateur et président de l'Association of Community Theatres. Il a été nommé Australien de l'année en 1984 pour sa contribution aux arts.
Il a dirigé le département art dramatique de la Brent St. School of Arts de Sydney de 1997 à 2000 et a enseigné au N.I.D.A., à la Finders University, au R.A.A.F., au Centre for Performing Arts, aux Carclew Youth Drama Camps, au S.A. Education Department, au National Book Council et au NSW & ACT Writers Centers. En 2003, il s'est produit dans les pièces «The Arabs Mouth» et «Room 201 Nicola Tesla». John Noble tient à la télévision le rôle régulier du Dr. John Madsen dans la série australienne «All Saints». Il a été la guest star de «The Lost World» et «The Bill». Quand regardant une carte de la Nouvelle Zélande (Aotearoa), beaucoup de gens se concentreront sur les deux îles principales, appelées assez rapidement lui semblerait, tout en regardant la boussole, l'île du nord et l'île de sud.
Toutefois le vrai bijou, encore autre sud situé, est une île très petite, connue sous le nom d'ancre de la Nouvelle Zélande, appelée île de Rakiura ou de Stewart.

Le siècle passé arrière, 1955, un matin embaumé de novembre, un bac de passager a moulé au loin du quai au port du bluff, situé sur le bout méridional de l'île du sud, et a placé son cours pour la belle île de Stewart. Parmi le choix d'humanité qui a orné les plate-formes du bateau que le jour étaient un Colleen Margurite Hopkins, et son mari, légende locale de pêche, facture.
Ils étaient en voyage de la livraison, prenant à maison leur dernière création, le bout de quatre telles créations, un garçon de bébé, je, donné le Raymond nommé Bruce Hopkins.

Des trois ans après et un voyage différent avait lieu. Cette fois la famille entière était sur son chemin à une nouvelle vie en Russell, compartiment des îles.

Au cours des 22 années à venir une équation d'école, d'université, de crayfishing, de sport comprenant le rugby, de waterpolo (représentant d'écoliers de NZ), de sauvetage de vague déferlante (gagnant de médaille de bronze au niveau national et membre du peloton de sauvetage par hélicoptère), de basket-ball et de roman intermittent, plus une année en Iowa au comté du sud de Tama haut en tant qu'étudiant d'échange, de façon ou d'autre inventé pour me mener au monde de la danse contemporaine.
Un charme de huit ans comme sorte professionnelle de danseur (non, pas exotique ou érotique ! ! !) en Nouvelle Zélande et en Australie a suivi.

Alors est venue l'occasion de jouer le rôle du diesel, un membre de voyage en jet dans une production de Theatre Company de mercure d'histoire de Westside, combinant la danse, une voix nouvellement trouvée de chant et action. Après s'être vendu dehors (700 personnes par nuit) pendant 7 semaines, les graines étaient semées et l'action est devenue ma carrière choisie.

Pendant les 16 dernières années j'avais marché les panneaux du théâtre de phase, frappant la marque en film, les films publicitaires exprimants et le divertissement aussi bien qu'animer des événements de corporation.

Donc là le ya vont, je suis toujours autour et aimant ce que je fais, j'également ai 3 merveilleux et m'ose dis que les enfants d'adolescent provocants (espoir d'I ils ne lisent pas ceci) et le voyage continue.

Naturellement, ma biographie ne serait pas complète sans mention de l'expérience joyeuse du pelliculage le rôle de « Gamling » avec Peter Jackson et sa équipe absolument étonnante et vaste dans le seigneur Of The Rings Trilogy. Tant d'aspects de cette expérience étaient joie pure, fonctionnant avec les goûts d'Ian McKellan, Viggo Mortensen, colline de Bernard et la fleur d'Orlando, devant apprendre à monter un cheval, un grand lambinent Charlie appelé au ce, volant sur la gamme méridionale de montagne d'alpes avec la colline de Bernard et le Miranda Otto dans un hélicoptère au coucher du soleil pour replacer à un autre endroit de pelliculage, et la liste va indéfiniment. Quoi qu'il en soit, de nos jours je prends des cours de chant avec le Janice merveilleux Webb, et j'essaye de surfer (et dire la « tentative » n'est pas moi essayant d'être humble), je fais un peu de navigation, rends visite à de vieilles personnes et soutiens de diverses causes telles qu'international d'amnistie, l'entrée libre de GE (génétiquement machiné) dans NZ, Auckland exécutant le centre d'arts (TAPAC) et la mission de ville d'Auckland.
Mon but, indépendamment de continuer à agir en films internationaux, est de maintenir un esprit ouvert et un coeur ouvert.
